When the warm summer wind comes blowin’ in (to Boston) from across the sea, you’ll be the envy of your neighbors with an inviting in-ground heated saltwater pool and surrounding yard space for fun in the sun.
Located on a quiet city cul de sac, you’re welcomed into this updated, spacious 4+ bedroom Cape single- family by its signature farmer’s porch.
The unique layout really does offer a ton of flexibility: The main level has a fantastic open living area with a fireplace, hardwood floors, and a beautifully remodeled bright kitchen with white cabinetry, stainless appliances, quartz counters and gas range. Two bedrooms and a full tiled bath on the main level provide convenience for work from home or guest space.
The top floor has two more large bedrooms with double closets and dormer space and a freshly tiled bath. A spacious dining room has glass sliders to a deck overlooking the fenced-in rear yard with work shed, and inviting pool and patio space including fire pit.
The finished basement offers laundry room, fabulous den and a bonus 5th bedroom with adjacent 1/2 bath and kitchenette, offering privacy for guests. An impressive vintage horseshoe bar will wow your guests. Head right out to the pool from there and continue the fun. The side yard offers raised garden beds and lush lawn. On a cul-de-sac, 1 mile to commuter rail and Centre St. minutes to VFW and Millennium Park.

Boston Home Team West Rox Favorites
Sugar Bakery - WARNING! They have an irresistible array of delicious treats including a selection of transcendent cupcakes from which the mere observation adds calories.
Rox Diner - A great neighborhood needs a great diner! The perfect spot for weekend brunch, weekday lunch or breakfast. The husband and wife team behind Rox Diner serves up great daytime fare made from locally sourced ingredients in a vibrant atmosphere where you can rub elbows with the neighbors.
Bay Sweets - Delectable traditional Lebanese dishes for take out and delivery.
Roche Bros. - Your neighborhood supermarket. Found in nearby Roslindale, this grocery store has everything you need and offers convenient pick up & delivery options.
Parkway YMCA - Your community gym! The Parkway was fully renovated a few years ago and is a popular fitness center with classes, personal training, an indoor pool, summer camps & more.
Johnny’s Takeaway - Ready-made selection of dinners for the whole family. They make delicious and healthy food and they make it easy to serve.
Anna’s Hand Cut Donuts - Sorry, no link, no website. They are the best. They’re at 2056 Centre, where they’ve been for decades and decades, making the same delicious donuts day in and day out!
DeNo’s Pizza - We know how particular folks get about their pizza. But we can comfortably assert that Deno’s makes a legit pie for eat-in, pick-up, and delivery (they deliver to Rozzie too).
Brickhouse Cafe - Okay, not in West Roxbury, but it’s a classic Italian-American restaurant only a couple of miles from Dow Road, so it’s worth a mention.
Misono - This Japanese/Korean has been a favorite for many years. Does their take out take forever? Yes. But we keep coming back because the food is consistently excellent. It’s a cool spot for dining in too w/ plenty of nearby parking in the Hancock Village Mall on the VFW; you can pop into JP Licks for dessert a few storefronts down.
Sofia’s Italia Steakhouse - We haven’t been, but the owners of Dow Road give it their thumbs up!
West on Centre - This restaurant/cafe/bar is a spot for all occasions. Family gatherings, meeting up with friends for the game, date night. Dress up, dress down, West On Centre is the like the multi-tool of local restaurants.
Porter Cafe - Small spot with an even smaller outdoor dining area alongside, the food here is delicious and the burgers are praiseworthy. Also, the folks behind the bar know what they’re doing! They also claim to have “West Roxbury’s largest beer selection.”
Boston Ale House - This hasn’t opened yet, and thus can’t be a Boston Home Team Favorite, but we have high hopes for this spot. Previously home to the Squealing Pig, its building has a lot of space to work with and a big kitchen. Our fingers are crossed for another tasty addition to the food/drink spectrum in Westie.
Millennium Park - First, Millennium is a marvel. In the late 90’s, under legendary Mayor Menino’s leadership, Boston turned this erstwhile dump into a sprawling park of paths, hills, and fields for sports and play, all with the beautiful backdrop of the Charles River and its marshy tributaries which attract flocks of bird enthusiasts throughout the year. Across the marsh and through the woods, Millennium connects to nearby Cutler Park for even more paths and trails to enjoy.
