HONK! Festival – October 5th to 7th

This fall festival is held in Somerville every year and offers plenty of fun. It’s a three-day festival filled with great music, parades and plenty of fun.

Oktoberfest in Harvard Square – October 7th

This annual event draws more than 200K people and it’s a part of the Honk Festival. Oktoberfest will include more than 50 food vendors, the Sam Adams Beer Garden, sidewalk vendors, and plenty of live entertainment. It’s a family-friendly event with multiple stages for entertainment.

Boston Book Festival – October 13th

Held at Copley Square every fall, the Boston Book festival features panels, author talks and a street fair with live music and vendors. It’s a great event for the entire family with plenty of children’s activities and young adult books. There will be costumed characters and so much more going on at this event.

Frog Pond Pumpkin Fest – October 19th

You can dress in your Halloween costume for this event and bring a hollowed-out pumpkin to float on the pond. Children will get to decorate a luminary for the pond and there will be plenty of refreshments and activities to enjoy at this event.

Boston International Fine Art Show – October 18th to 21st

This excellent event will feature more than 3,000 words from all over the world. It’s a great place for collectors, art enthusiasts and those just interested in art. There will be a panel with collectors and an interview with painter John Stobart. You can also enjoy some of the great history Boston provides for the art world.

Halloween Pet Parade and Costume Contest – October 27th
