Living in Roslindale means you don’t have to go very far to find one of the farmers’ markets in Boston. The Roslindale Farmers Market is a top choice with plenty to offer throughout the summer months. The best part, the market also offers a winter farmers’ market so you can get fresh produce and local good year-round!

The Roslindale Farmers’ Market was even named as the 2018 Best Neighborhood Diversion by Boston Magazine. While this market certainly offers plenty of organic fruits and vegetables, it’s also a great place for the community. Here’s a closer look at what to expect when you head to the Roslindale Farmers’ Market this year.

What to Expect

The Market will open in June and run through November and it will be found in Adams Park. In fact, some locals have referred to it as the Adams Park Farmers’ Market, but don’t let this confuse you. It’s really the Roslindale Farmers’ Market.

The market will be full of new and old vendors with plenty of offerings. It’s open from 9am to 1:30pm on Saturdays regardless of the weather. The first Saturday of June will be opening day and there will be plenty to do, see and buy.

More than Just Produce

Boston Farmers Market

While some farmers’ markets are just a place to buy great, local produce, the Roslindale Farmers’ Market offers even more. It’s common for the market to offer live music every single week with great performers taking the stage. In addition, children’s activities are found throughout and other types of performances are also held at the Farmers’ Market.

The Winter Market

When the summer market closes, it’s not all packed up until the following year. The Roslindale Farmers’ Market holds a winter market starting the first Saturday of January and running through March. This market is smaller and only open from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays, but you can still find plenty of produce, specialty foods, and crafts at the market.

Other Farmers’ Markets

There may be other farmers’ markets in the area or found close enough for Roslindale residents to enjoy, but when you live in Roslindale, you don’t need to leave your home neighborhood to find a great market. Instead, you can just head to the Roslindale Farmers’ Market every Saturday during the summer and winter for local produce, crafts, prepared foods, entertainment, and more!
