Battle for the City! A Jane Jacobs Appreciation Night w/ Outdoor Movie Screening

Have you ever heard of urban planner super hero, Jane Jacobs? If you have, then you already know what she's about and you may be very interested in attending our affair. If you don't know Ms. Jacobs, but you value community-centered urban development over car-centered sprawl, than you may want to check this out too.

Join us for an enlightening evening that pays tribute to the legacy of Jane Jacobs and her vision for vibrant and sustainable communities. To help introduce the film “Citizen Jane: Battle for the City” a group of speakers from the community, including from the city’s Planning and Development office (in their own personal capacity), will offer their tributes to Ms. Jacobs and how her work impacted their lives and work as urban planners and community organizers. Be part of the conversation and the community discourse in shaping the city’s future, right in the heart of Leland Street Cooperative Garden.
